Maybe because we have always tried to make sense of this oddity, we end up being drawn to absolute train wrecks like Dokumushi by Yuzu Miscio. You are still not attached to any of the character to care about them, but you already got their flashback and it was a whole chapter of it.This accomplishment, as shallow as it may be, gave the manga enough popularity to spawn a live action adaptation in 2016 and a still ongoing sequel named Dokumushi: Ruins Hotel in 2018. They do more than the protagonist, but that’s not much of an achievement when he does nothing, and really there’s nothing down here that isn’t done better elsewhere. The basic setting is where this manga both starts and stops, and from then on out, there is nearly nothing but rather close-to-explicit porn and some gore so disappointing that it's clear the mangaka just wanted to do draw very questionable tabboish sexy-times.
