About this deal

Consider creating sub-compartments within the hutch so they can nestle in, or provide suitably-sized open-ended tubes or pipes that allow them to shelter without getting stuck.

I had seen the small pet heating pad but it was too small; I hadn't seen the cat heating mat so I will look at that.

the heat pad is suitable for use with animals (dogs, cats and rabbits etc) so again that shouldnt be a problem. It gives me peace of mind that my 4bantams can snuggle up with the pad and that the warmth lasts most of the night. So if they have a heated place to sit sometimes, they could end up with a thinner coat than they need for whenever they move away from that place/exercise/whenever it is switched off.Natural Heat/ Cold pack with Rice, flaxseed and barley infused with Essential oils for a soothing experience. This convenience is paramount to me since i occasionally work away during the week for a night or 2. Rabbits hide illnesses very well and there are a whole multitude of reasons why a seemingly young, healthy rabbit would die in winter (or indeed at any time of year), and I would suspect that cold is nowhere near the top of the list of prime suspects unless the rabbit's accommodation was not packed with clean, dry bedding, leaked water, was covered over so 'well' that there was no ventilation, or the rabbit was taken between indoors and out during the colder weather.

I’m going to tuck it into one of their pet beds so they’d have to eat through quite a bit of fabric to get at it. Encourage lots of exercise by making sure they have enough space to explore to their heart’s content. While rabbits can naturally handle cold temperatures well, if they are kept in the wrong conditions they may suffer from hypothermia and frostbite. So, if your rabbit's ears are very hot, it could be a sign that air temperatures are too high; if they are very cold, it could be a sign that air temperatures are too low. This is because many disabled rabbits have trouble regulating and maintaining their body heat against cooler temperatures. Not used one, I wouldn’t unless a Vet said too, bunnies can get too hot, they have a fur coat for winter, it’s sometimes difficult to tell if a bunny is too warm and he or she could get very poorly, Olly has lots of Blankets so if he does get too hot he can move them, I put the heating on if it is very cold for 20 minutes then I use my heat pad for myself, bunnies can survive tempratures that are very cold, I used to live in the countryside and early in the morning I used to see bunnies playing in the snow when I drove passed the fields in my bus, there were bunnies playing in the snow having fun, but I did see Olly in January build a little burrow with his hay when it started snowing, it’s more natural, lots of hay and blankets is best, I think.

Hi - looking for some advice about heating a rabbit hutch during the winter months, a long way off but thought i'd get ahead of the game. The SnuggleSafe heatpad is bite resistant, has no wires for a pet to chew through and is totally non toxic. If you’re doing this, bear in mind there are lots of unfamiliar noises and smells, which could be disconcerting to your rabbit. Also, remember to keep an eye on your VIPs for any subtle changes in behaviour that could signal a bigger problem. If they’re in a shed, add a low-wattage heater – though be sure to insulate the cable to prevent damage by curious teeth. The main benefit of the heat pad is that you can set it on a timer and is more convenient for example if you are away overnight. IDEAL FOR PUPPIES/ KITTENS, OUTSIDE PETS, CONVALESCING, ELDERLY PETS OR JUST FOR THE WELL BEING OF ANY PET. As with any heat source, we do not recommend the use of the heatpad with anaesthetized or unconscious animals.
