though it would have been fun if the book went more into dialogue and stories, even happier stories. This book left my heart feeling full, it inspired me to spread more kindness, and not be so hard on my self.

The more I paid attention to her songs, the more I wanted to know her story; finding out she wrote a memoir was the perfect way to do it without relying on gossip sites or social media and letting them dictate what I learned about her.As women we should ALL operate on the assumption that most every woman we encounter will share in much of the trauma that we too have carried in silence and it is in all of our best interests to regard each other with empathy regardless of race, class, etc.

One day I would wake up and feel on top of the world, and the next day I would feel like an impostor in my own skin. It really inspired me to look inward on my own experiences and place more emphasis on finding lessons in difficult moments.

Known for her vulnerability and authenticity both inside and outside of the music industry, Beer has built her platform on speaking openly about her experiences with being in the public eye at such a young age. I hope she releases another book in the future because, indeed, that is just another one of her many talents. Aster is dating Trig, a boy from a wealthy family, and Ellie begins a heartfelt correspondence with her through letters and text messages. i’ve seen a few reviews which say they wish there was more depth here, but madison is only 24 and has a lot of life left to live, so we can’t really expect wealths of wisdom, and i don’t think that’s her intention with this book anyway. There are a few events that are described in the book that seemed to stretch throughout, so it's not exactly a memoir, but a retelling of those events, how she felt during, how it affected her life etc.

In April 2019, it was announced Leah Lewis, Alexxis Lemire, Daniel Diemer, Becky Ann Baker, Catherine Curtin, Wolfgang Novogratz, and Enrique Murciano had joined the cast of the film, with Alice Wu directing from a screenplay she wrote. I consider myself a very casual fan who has a few of her songs on my playlists, yet I have always been informed about the things that she has experienced throughout the years because I'm very active on social media. I knew about the leak of her nudes, I knew about all the hate she received because of her famous boyfriend and I knew how much she has struggled ever since her teenage years.I laughed, I cried, and felt honoured that she chose to share such a vulnerable aspect of her life with the world.

movies flirt with the idea of lesbian relationships, they quickly pivot before their casual interest can evolve into any fully realized romance", with the film's story seeming "to be more about the halfway happiness Ellie's given: maybe some acceptance, maybe a friend, maybe a first love. While I really enjoyed Madison's narration of her younger years and coming into fame, I can't help but feel like the book still fell a little flat. this girl means so much to me, i remember meeting her in london and not being able to say a single world because i was so shocked that she was right in front of me. I'd sacrifice true happiness if it meant avoiding true sadness"I'm not going to trauma-dump on you, but as someone who has been through terrible depressive episodes, some of Madison's lines felt straight out of my brain when I was going through them. Madison's sophomore album Silence Between Songs debuts on September 15 - and the singer teased fans with hints about the 14-song track list.In The Half of It, Madison pulls back the curtain to show the behind-the-scenes of her journey, from reckoning with mass hate online and the time her private pictures were leaked, to battling suicidal thoughts while making her highly acclaimed debut album, Life Support, and her recovery since then. It's a motivating book where you can see the journey of heart-shattering struggles that blossom Madison Beer into a healthier and happier version of herself. I saw myself reflected in her words, thoughts and insecurities and i felt comfortably close to her in that regard. The singer, 24, revealed her memoir The Half Of It would be released in the UK this August, some four months after it dropped in the USA.
