Editorial independence means being able to give an unbiased verdict about a product or company, with the avoidance of conflicts of interest. While improved from previous models' mics, even in moderately noisy environments, it struggles to separate speech from ambient noise. Their passive noise isolation performance might not be great for low rumbling sounds like bus engines, but it does a good job for voices, meaning you can tune out most office chatter.

PayPal Credit and PayPal Pay in 3 are trading names of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH. In the outdoors we heard the first drop-outs after about 35 metres, so for range, the E8 are on par with the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2; inside a building the first drop-outs could be heard after about 10 metres.I didn't make a huge change, but with a small adjustment from the default Optimal setting, I was good to go. The area where you dock the buds used to be brushed aluminum with plastic inserts; now the whole interior is plastic with some subtle metal accents. Further, the noice cancellation feature is fantastic when I want to focus and think and strategize or problem solve. But that’s splitting hairs, because we had the feeling that the E8 would not have been overstrained with any genre. The dip between the mid-high bass reduces bass, which might not be great for those looking for more thump and rumble in their audio.

Similar to their previous generations, they don't support multi-device or NFC pairing, but it's still easy to connect your headphones to your device: you only need to hold down the left and right earbud simultaneously for 5 seconds until the lights flash blue. Premium, wireless in-ear headphones for those looking to experience a high-quality listening experience on the go. Our unit's left and right drivers were both very well-matched in phase, frequency, and amplitude, so there were no gaps in the stereo image, and objects, like voices or footsteps, were accurately placed. There are also LED pairing indicators on the underside of each bud, so you immediately know when these are ready to connect and when they're synced with your phone.

Slightly below the target range, their thumps and rumbles sound less intense and lack a bit of body. Of course, even the best true wireless earbuds will still make you sound like you're on speakerphone to a degree, but you do want them to reduce background noise as much as possible. With 5W charging and a Fast Mode of up to 10W, this wireless charging pad will power your down time. We also had sporadic connection problems with the app during our test: while Spotify was happily blaring out on our smartphone, the app had problems finding the E8.

You'll need to remember to put them back in the case when you're not using them; otherwise, the battery continues to drain. As an undemanding listener, you can just skip this aspect altogether as it would probably alter nothing in your listening behaviour. The Bang and Olufsen Signature Sound application and the ToneTouch tone control function can also be used for both earphones. Their warm sound profile is also fairly well-balanced and should be well-suited to a wide variety of genres.Despite being mostly plastic, the metal accent around the touchpad is still there, which gives these a more refined look than most true wireless buds.
