This is likely (at least in part) due to the busy careers these men have built, as alluded to earlier. Sound Vapors is an online music, and entertainment site designed to bring readers closer to bands/artists and the music they create. Plus the second of those two has in my opinion at the beginning one of the most interesting riffs from all the songs of the album. A second single, "Pay No Mind", was released on July 25, 2019, with four further singles, "Take the Crown", "In the Deep", "Dying Light", and "Godspeed" later released.

Indeed after listening through a few more times, I became convinced that this would become one of my favorite AB records. There are parts of Walk The Sky, the quartet’s sixth album, when the music contained within this 14-song, 60-minute set hits the kind of altitude one would sometimes hear in the golden age of heavy rock from the 1980s. One only has to listen to the first three AB records to realize that, as a group AB delivered superior performances like the seminal 'Blackbird' several years prior to most of the aforementioned side-project experiences even took place.When they go into the chorus, singer Myles Kennedy harmonizes brilliantly over Tremonti’s guitar riff that would surely make Neal Schon smile. The Bitter End', 'Godspeed' and particularly 'Dying Light' competently capture the melancholic, yet somehow uplifting essence of classic AB tracks like 'Watch Over You' and 'In Loving Memory'. Alter Bridge, Halestorm, Neck Deep, Bob Vylan, Hot Milk, Palaye Royale, Jinjer and more join this year’s Download Festival.

I would be surprised if this one did not make it to the setlist for live shows, but as it happens, sometimes the most epic songs are not to be played live.

Forever falling sounds like a hit to me, great riff at the intro, good chorus, melodic vibe all along the song I love it. This time, the guys tried to reinvent themselves in a whole new spectrum while already bringing to the table sometimes nearly finished songs.

On the heavier side of things, I particularly enjoyed 'Indoctrination' which features a Sitar-like instrument and a wicked beat and 'Forever Falling', which sees Tremonti taking lead duty following his significant improvement as frontman of his own act.This ultimately led me to the simple conclusion that 'WTS' fails to demonstrate the significant potential that AB possesses as a band, while also never really offering any of the members an opportunity to truly stand out and shine, with the possible exception of Myles. I’m talking about the album oriented rock (AOR) sound of bands like Journey, Autograph, Night Ranger, etc. But with songs of the quality of the soaring Wouldn’t You Rather, the propulsive and insistent Native Son, and the waltz-time wonder of closing song Dying Light, there is enough expertise at work here to make the bombast – what’s the word?

Ever since the word came out that Mark will have lead vocals on one of the songs of the album, I was beaming with excitement. And when I realized that the sound at the beginning which seems to be a guitar is actually Myles doing wonders with his voice, that’s when my mouth literally hit the floor.
