Give this one a chance. Even as the Viper fanatic I am I didn't think much of this one until very recently. One of the main issues I had with this book though was that I just didn’t care for the characters at all. Marianne was quite annoying with her constant moping over how terrible her father was and her inability to commit to anything. The love interest Bronn was dull as dishwater and had a predictable “I had to betray you to save you” storyline. The Prince she is betrothed to is, of course, squeaky clean and kind as a button. His faultless personality was boring and predictable. And I can’t even remember anyone else. There were a few other characters scattered around but they just filled stereotypical fantasy roles. Like the cruel father who was hiding a secret of her heritage (a secret that was made very obvious so it wasn’t much of a plot twist when it was finally revealed). In a previous book, Kane was horribly burned, helping to save others, and Nadya was helping to heal him (not that it was really possible). We start this book with a prison break and Kane being taken to the wolf's encampment, where the Grey Wolf offers him a choice. He would heal if he became *other*. I love the concept of the fights happening in the sea. Giving me all the pirate vibes. And the magic that is happening in the sea is amazing. I want more of those creatures. I'll start off with what I liked: Kane and Nadya's stories were heartbreaking. I wanted them to be happy for once in their landmine of a life. No one should have to be put through all that sh*t.

Marianne was not what I expected. She was soft and weak, hating all forms of cruelty and often put her own life at risk because of her unwillingness to cause someone else harm - even if they were trying to kill her. And honestly it just got annoying. I probably wouldn’t have minded so much if she wasn’t always saying that she was going to stop her father and his crew, to put and end to his violence - she talked a good game, but when it came to delivering, she would choke and almost get killed. And honestly I was just bored of her by the end. The main character is a badass. Although most of her life she is being kept in a cage and being control. When she went out of that cage and showed her true potential. She is crazy. The friends/found family built over the story, connections and trust were interesting to read. I am completely invested in more of this story, where the magic takes the crew of the Viper and Marianne herself. Roll on book two! This was pretty awesome. It had been a while since I had read a pirate story and that sure was a good one. I really felt for Marianne from the very beginning, she was so layered and captivating. The plot was really great. Once I started, I couldn't put it down. I was really enthralled by the whole thing. The only thing I didn't love was the romance, and still it was okay. Anyway, I also loved the side characters, especially Grace. This Is For..." is a great breather moment, returning to Ready and... Willing's reversed beats. It sounds like purgatory elevator music in the best way possible. "In The Life of a Baller..." is this but energetic.

For some reason there is a heavy filter over Viper's voice for most of the album, and it takes some getting used to. If you can get used to that, however, YCDESC3 is a very solid album. It's a bit on the short side for Viper (whos offerings are usually quite long) so it might be a bit easier to digest too. more-dark-more-realistic і срібної кулі на нього нема. Але їйбо, герої, які отаке, як тут городять, зазвичай так довго не живуть.I felt like I was reading a badly-written fanfic most of the time. Here are just a few examples that made me cringe: Kill Urself My Man" and "I Have the Best Piece and Chain Ever Made" are anomalies in Viper's discography, both released in the Viper spam album period of 2014 when he released 347+ albums. Nearly two decades later, true-crime author Amanda Bailey is writing a book on the Angels. The Alperton baby has turned eighteen and can finally be interviewed; if Amanda can find them, it will be the true-crime scoop of the year, and will save her flagging career. But rival author Oliver Menzies is just as smart, better connected, and is also on the baby's trail. A desert-dust nightmare with a scorpion's sting. I loved it'– EMMA STONEX, author of THE LAMPLIGHTERS The Viper was amazing! There was an incredible build as the story unfolded, histories were learned, and details came to life. I loved all the drama and action and the truly remarkable characters. It was intense and entertaining all rolled into one. Exceptional read!
