About this deal

After the Boston Boost 5, I tried versions 6 and 7. However, I did not like them as much as the five, due to their lower heel collar and more sluggish feel. A few years ago Adidas developed a long-term partnership with Continental for a sole with the best grip ever for road racing. Even with the Boston 8, not much has changed compared to the usual design, with a generous presence of rubber and the Continental writing on the front, the exposed Boost with braided rubber. All quality components. Of course those who will be able to analyze the central part of the sole will find a variation of the design: The upper is an improvement too. On the surface, the knitted-mesh upper looks like it would be warm. There aren’t any large pores on the upper to vent heat, but it did a decent job with the Coolever mesh lining in extremely hot (90º F with 85% humidity) running conditions. A tight grip is critical for a racing flat intended for high speeds. In the Boston 9s I could confidently round a tight corner without losing much momentum. Mom and Dad came to the scene and comforted Meg. Quietly in the distance, Meg swore she could hear the mournful notes of Taps floating through the chilly spring air.

In conclusion, Adidas Boston 8 are shoes suitable for amateur runners with an optimized weight. Although they are A2 shoes, they can certainly be used for long, the change in design has made them softer than in the past, precisely to allow them to run longer. As we suggested in our detailed Adidas guide, we believe it is the most interesting model in the Adidas collection, unless you want to use them even in the evening. In this case, we suggest switching to Ultra Boost 19. But for the preparation, the Boston 8 remains an excellent and above all eclectic footwear. Availability The Adidas Boston Boost 5 was a nearly perfect shoe for me: lightweight, durable, springy, and smooth. I bought multiple pairs and used them for all types of running: long runs, trails, workouts, daily training, and races.

Robbe: I’m gonna tell you to take Thomas’s thoughts on these, especially if you enjoyed previous models of the Boston. I mean, I thought this was a good shoe, but it didn’t jump out at me as a go-to. It’s certainly better than a lot of shoes I’ve reviewed this year, but I’m not going to keep them by the front door where my wife can trip over them for weeks on end. That spot is reserved for only the best. toe space, now it's more spacious, to the point that comparing the previous model, it seems we had the wrong number;

Adidas may have done this to help with the flow of the shoe, but I have not found it to affect the feel. The outsole is still incredibly durable and grips well on wet, dry, pavement, and gravel. Height of the shoe: even if the differential has remained the same, the height from the ground has slightly increased;Adidas has again tweaked the torsion system to improve stability. This system is very similar to the 7 with a slight change in its layout making it wider and longer. This also allows for a bit more boost in the center. The Adizero Boston range is designed for runners who prioritise speed and responsiveness. Previously known for being a little more on the 'firm' side, the Boston 12 was tested across 19 sessions with Adidas professional athletes in Kenya to find out exactly how this shoe could be reworked into a better version. As usual, the front part of the heel has no large padding, the design of Ultra Boost 19 has not been adopted. However we believe that there are no major problems and above all comfort remains exemplary: The Boston 8 continues to use the same boost technology that runs from the heel through the midsole. Finishing the midsole off is a layer of firmer EVA that sits on top of the boost layer.

However, in the "grand scheme of things", the shoe is not fundamentally changed in its "essence", it is always a shoe for races from 10 km to the marathon and for intense training, offering the right compromise between support, cushioning and lightness. Visual Appearance However, I am not sure how it holds up with regard to durability. After 50 miles, I have already noticed some worn areas on the outsole. Particularly, there’s a tear in the rubber at midfoot on the right shoe. Delivery timescales are based on working days; Public Holidays, Saturday's and Sunday's are NOT classed as working days. The Boston 8 fits true to size and worked with my foot perfectly. It definitely is not as narrow as some of its predecessors and should fit most feet, but it still has a race-oriented snug fit that may be a bit too tight for some runners. The front of the shoe has a different orientation with the 8 having a more horizontal orientation than a vertical found in the 7.

Then finally it was a half marathon training run, where their were steady miles completed. The good news is that there was no bad news, yes the lacing was still there, but that could be personal preference, and the shoe didn't feel as flexible but again this could be bedding in, and no doubt will feel more comfortable after putting more miles in. While subtle these tweaks have improved the transition of the shoe which wasn’t bad to begin with but now smoother with a bit of added power through toe off that it was missing before. I have always questioned whether this system really provides any technical advantage or if just adds to the shoe’s weight. Also, it’s just a good-looking shoe and has that Boston nod without being too upfront about it like last year’s model. Shop Adidas Boston 8
