Description

This is your mega battalion made up of a Godsworn Champions of Ruin battalion and four others from the rest. This is an absurdly expensive battalion that rewards you with +2″ movement for each unit in the first battle round and you get to use one command ability on a warscroll for free. YAY! Godsworn Champions of Ruin To return your product, you should mail your product to: Ashdown Gaming, The Wheatsheaf, Mount Pleasant, Crowborough, TN6 2NF, United Kingdom

Bolstered by Hate: Add two to this general’s Wounds characteristic. Boring but effective, especially relevant on fragile units like a Chaos Sorcerer Lord. C+ There's so much to cover that we definitely don't have space to go over it all here, but I'll highlight some of the larger rules. First, there's the Marks Of Chaos keyword. Some models in this book are already pledged to one of the four Chaos gods: Khorne, Nurgle, Tzeentch, or Slaanesh - or are marked as Chaos Undivided (meaning they are pledged to all four, essentially). Others simply have the "Mark of Chaos" keyword on their warscroll without a specific god. If your models only have the Mark of Chaos keyword on them, you have to choose one of the four gods or undivided, and they gain special benefits like command abilities allowing them to deal more damage (Undivided), deal damage after charging (Khorne), run and charge in the same turn (Slaanesh), and more. Chaos Reigns!

Rounding out the three more traditional legions are the Despoilers, who focus on providing buffs for Daemon Princes & Monsters. The book describes facing this legion as akin to making war against an army of nightmares, which seems appropriate considering some of the benefits and the tough binds this legion is designed to put your opponent into. Firstly, Sacrilegious Might extends the range of your general’s aura of chaos ability to 18″, and grants your Daemon Prince General a 5++ Feel No Pain save against wounds and mortal wounds. Taking an already great unit in the Daemon Prince and pushing it even further is the kind of philosophy top armies adhere to.

The grey reminded me of winter pelts and I could imagine these guys raiding and marauding their way through wintery lands in pursuit of their master’s predetermined prey. This is why I’ve gone with a winter basing scheme for this warband too. Plus purple and red always look so wonderfully visceral and dramatic on white. Spike-tongue Curse (Casting Value 3)– Visible unit within 12″ takes exactly 3 mortal wounds. However! If the spell is unbound or otherwise unsuccessful, the caster takes 3 mortal wounds instead. The box actually has a decent number of sprues inside, which is always nice. Then below that, you get the book, cards, bases, and all the accessories! InstructionsThe first model can be built either as a Champion or regular Chosen. The Champion has a raised axe and a choice between two large horned helmets and a bare head, while the regular Chosen holds a sword in a two-handed grip and has a choice between a helmet and bare head (which are different from the Champion’s heads). It’s more important to discuss Idolator Lords next as they are core to how your army works. You can promote one Gorebeast Chariot or Chaos Chariot unit with only model to an Idolator Lord, it gives them the Exalted Chariot profile and they become Heroes and Priests (they also gain a bonus spell from down below). The errata also clarifies they gain Eye of the Gods, allowing them to gain the buffs from killing other heroes. The Vanguard: Slaves to Darkness box comes with 17 models. The total in-game points comes to 680; a little shy of the recommended 1,000 points for a beginner’s army. We’ll go into what comes next below, but first, here’s the contents of the box: Vanguard: Slaves to Darkness Contents:

Baseline Benefit: Unmodified hit rolls of 6 cause 2 hits instead of 1 (roll to wound and save seperately).Though the rift between Be’lakor and Archaon is slowly widening as the First Prince amasses more power… Introduced in Wrath of the Everchosen, Knights of the Empty Throne are a very unique legion. They’re intended for Varanguard spam and outside of Sons of Behemat probably one of the lowest drop armies you could possibly have. That said it’s also not cheap (I mean as in like, dollars) and like many elite armies suffers hard on the objectives, multiplied several times over here. If you run these guys it’s a real struggle but they are actually one of the most effective versions of Slaves to Darkness if you can stomach the cost. What does it get you?
